What is coaching…..umm is it cheesy at all?
I know, I know- there are those (Cheri O’Teri among others) who laugh at “life coaching” and think its cheesy (hey I used to be one of them(: ITS the FARTHEST THING FROM CHEESY I CAN THINK OF….its just plain powerful. Its OK- let them laugh while you go about the powerful business of rocking out your life! Coaching is a process in which a coach deeply listens to you, leading to increased insight and clarity in your life. We are all continuously evolving and coaching can help you make a more rapid and satisfying personal evolution. Most importantly, coaching brings the changes you desire and need to more fully express yourself. That full expression is the path to joy. Along the path you may find you have to challenge old assumptions and sometimes let go of things that are not working. You will learn tools to use so that you can coach yourself in between sessions and for the rest of your life. The reward is living in the world as you were born to be, fully expressing your unique talents. See- not cheesy at all!

Why did I become a coach?
I discovered coaching through personal experience. I felt “stuck” in my life at the time and thought- heck coaching might be helpful. I had no idea what it was or how it would help! I just knew something had to GIVE. I found my own coach through the Internet. I had no idea how powerful the process of having those 30-minute weekly telephone conversations would be! It was a very gentle process…no nagging or advice-giving. Just intent listening, pointing out where I might be stuck and cheering me on. Within 18 months I was doing the things I had only dreamed of and it all happened so fast it was amazing! Was it easy? No. I had to admit my part in how I had gotten “stuck.” Was it life-transforming and uplifting? – YES! I realized later how grateful I was for that process. It inspired me to get my coaching certification and begin to coach others into their own transformations.
I have studied many teachers and have been a voracious reader of non-fiction my entire adult life- some of my favorites are Martha Beck, Deepak Chopra, Byron Katie, Pema Chodron, Louise Hay, Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Thomas Leonard, Cheryl Richardson, Barbara Sher, Cheri Huber, and Wayne Dyer. I draw on all of my life long experience as a practicing physician, Adoptive and Biological Mother, Spouse, Daughter, Friend, trained Coach, Designer and Entrepreneur and work with you to reveal what is true and perfect for your life.
