Fans and Feedback for Kitchee Gammi Design Company

“During the construction of our new home we were bombarded with questions like “is this family room going to be big enough for the casual gatherings you host?”, or “how do you envision using the living room on the lower level?” and “what color scheme are you thinking of”.  Our architect referred us to Suzi.  She took us through a process where we were able to choose not just the colors of our home, but a level of comfort and familiarty that in the end reflected our personal tastes.  Turns out the family room is the perfect size for having our friends over and indulging us in our surroundings inside and outside the home.  The gathering space is great and includes room for our favorite hobbies.  The colors inspire nature in both the summer and winter months.  She took into account our personalities, the home and its setting as well as our love for nature in all she did.  The collaboration with us, her and the architect is one we would love to re create if we were ever to build another home.  What a fun and inspiring process.  Every time we enter our home,  we just say to ourselves how much we LOVE it!”

Room Recovery Case 1:   Extra Bedroom /jam packed storage space  transformed into a gorgeous feminine and glamorous closet  and “getaway”

“Well first of all I want to tell you that I loved the entire package and would have wanted to do everything as outlined……… I worked pretty quickly to get the room done …It is nearly done and looks FABULOUS!   The chandelier goes up tomorrow, carpet is in, console comes Friday.  I ‘m out of town Saturday but will spend  all my free time putting my clothes in it and be ready for some pictures late next week.        I was thinking budget right away , but I may not have dreamed as big as you did and I love  it!   It really is a dream room and you inspired me to divest myself of unneeded items and ways of thinking! “  MK

Suzi and Sarah-  AMAZING ! My head was spinning with so many thoughts and styles for the new vision at my flower shop.  Suzi and Sarah listened to all of them -  we talked about color, texture, shapes, structures, merchandise, flowers, furniture, design styles and they brought all of them to their studio.  We met two weeks later and they had digested the info and creatively processed it.   I was presented with a “vision board”.  The board was all encompassing-  paint colors, floor textures, products I’d carry and design space with examples and actual floor plans.  Their design eyes looked at my space in a totally different way (and I think I am fairly creative!).   They came to the shop and helped actually design certain spaces-  I needed a creative jump start and they provided me with the platform to work from.  THEY ARE AMAZING WITH SPACE!  In the past month clients have RAVED about our shop layout-  THEY DON’T KNOW WHY THEY JUST KNOW THEY FEEL GOOD IN OUR SHOP!   I can’t wait to spend more time with these 2 amazing women!  Angela Stocke, owner Angela’s Bella Flora

I showed up at the usual yesterday and walking in the office was a treat!
What a transformation.
I had high expectations for what you would accomplish here and you have over performed.
Kudos!

The Solvay Hospice House has transformed the way families view end of life care.  A setting which could have been perceived as stark and sterile has been instead interpreted into a magical and breathtaking environment.  Patients, families and friends state they feel embraced as they walk through the doors and move throughout the space. The details evoke nature, spirit, memories, and honor all who enter.  We have been open for two years, and EVERY DAY many people comment that they are stunned by the beauty and elegance of this house.

The goal for our then newly purchased (2007), totally gutted downtown space,  was to develop a one stop shop for women being battered. It would be an arm of  Safe Haven Shelter for Battered Women but a group endeavor of Safe Haven and several community partners.   So the process was complex and involved a design team as well as community partner input.

Suzi handled all of this with ease, patience and professionalism.  And most importantly she created a beautiful, attractive, warm, calm, inviting space where abused women feel at home and welcome.  They look forward to coming each time, if they continue to need services and support. It is also very much enjoyed by all the staff that work here. That was our ideal; our goal, and Suzi and her skills made it come true with great design, color, art, accessories and furniture.  She also was aware of our non-profit budget and worked hard to find great merchandise for the best price.  Suzi, together with Women in Construction created this dream space that we are extremely proud to work in and to invite our clients to.

On a weekly basis we have new visitors , clients and volunteers who  express how beautiful,  calm and inviting this space is.  We thank Suzi and we highly recommend her and her company, Kitchee Gammi Design Co!  Cathryn Curley,  Director Lake Superior Family Justice Center

Hi Suzi and Sarah!  Our Grass cloth is up and it looks FANTASTIC!  It adds so much warmth to our entryway.  Thanks for all of your help-  you guys are awesome.  We plan on painting soon!  Looking forward to seeing the furniture when its in!  Tammy  and Dean Fox, Residential Design Client
