Finding Joy…

We named our website Joy Junket because we liked the definition, the idea, of “taking a short journey for pleasure”.. and we like to say that adventure can be around the world or around the corner.
I just returned from a nice vacation fishing in Canada, one of my favorite things to do! But after returning home, I was just as happy to get busy working in my garden, mowing my lawn and begin the project of dismantling the flotsam and jetsom of a family vacation.
The point being??? We can find joy in much of what we do. I love vacation, but I try pretty hard to live my life in such a way that I don’t NEED to go on vacation all the time in order to enjoy what I’m doing. In my mind, that’s what finding joy is all about. I have about five things that bring me lots of joy for little or no money: a trip to the local second hand shop, rearranging my furniture, grilling out, a good book and believe it or not, going to work, (I love my girls Sarah and Kim)!
What brings YOU joy??? If you have a hard time with this one take a little time to think about it. It doesn’t mean you need to take yourself on an expensive vacation, we want to hear what you are doing every day to bring a little more joy into this short blissful junket we call life.
