Eccentric Glamour by Simon Doonan- Get out there and ROCK YOUR LOOK!
November 21, 2009
We just returned from the mother of all Antique shows in Warrenton Texas! Its a magnet for designers and creative types from all over the world! The junk gypsies were there and we had a fab time at their Junk PROM www.gypsyville.com . We stayed at the absolutely sweet and fantastic Willow’s nest http://www.willownest.net/the-willow-nest-inn/ with amazing other artists- Tamara of www.sheeraddiction.comthe amazing jewelry designer we are always yammering on about and Lisa the owner of www.laruemarche.com in Hudson Wisconsin. Her shop in Hudson is a MUST SEE!!!!! It was a great trip and we saw incredible furnishings and dazzling arrangements from venders for all over the world….it was all too much! At night we found solace in local brew and gas station sandwiches (did we tell you its a small town and there is nowhere to go out to eat? ). We probably had the most fun examining and enjoying some of the eccentric and fantastic outfits out there on the dusty roads of Texas!! People were wearing - gauzy bloomers- we are NOT kidding and they looked fab! So grab somthing you LOVE out of the back of your closet that you have been wanting to wear and have not yet had the gumption- and rock it out today! Check out Simon Doonan here we LOVE his book http://www.simondoonan.net/home/

Jenn, Hey… One of the ways I remain true to my eccentric glamour is by wearing my favorite (albeit somewhat dirty and stained at times) John Deere vintage hoodie. WHY do I feel the need to identify with the John Deere brand??? Don’t know, it seems so unsexy…I guess that’s the eccentric part! Can’t wait to show it off at your party! Hmmm maybe with my flame stiched cowgirl boots…
Thanks for your support George !!! You are an awesome 13 year old (son) and I love you!
GOOD JOB MOM
Oops, forgot to say that I do eccentric (perhaps not glamour)
by staying true to my inner color. These are the colors that make me
feel good.
Great video. You two gave me an idea for a party. Invite people to come
and wear that outfit in the back of their closet that they loved when they
bought, but were to intimidated to wear. Everyone would be in something
a little wacky and “out there”. Hmmmmmm, this could be fun!
