A xylophone is my new best friend. A limiting belief that once tortured me became a playful colorful musical instrument on that day. Ok this is an obscure one- I will get to the xylophone in a bit. I am a Life Coach (and part time interior designer, part time MD- I know it might seem odd but its perfect for me) – and to me there is absolutely nothing better than working with my coaching clients! They are some of the most amazing, courageous, smart and (more…)

He shares these common points and gives you several excercises, meditations, visualizations etc. for each area. We cannot say enough how much we enjoyed reading it! Why is it that it’s so difficult to tell an emerging weed from a flower early on in Spring?? For all I know I’m hacking out my perenials and preparing a fabulous bed for dandilions and other nasty greens. But I tend to get so excited about working in the garden that it’s hard to me to wait around and see what’s what before making any decisions about what stays and what goes. And let’s face it, sometimes the weeds don’t look half bad! (more…)

I imagine we all have an area of the house that daily begs for a redo. For me, it’s my back door, and the stairs leading down to my farmhouse basement of unknown age.

Dunmore Cream, Toasted Bagel, Spiced Apple, Pecan Pie….. It’s NO WONDER I feel like running to the nearest bakery shortly after selecting paint colors for a favorite customer!!!! Really, they make these colors seem sooooo irresistible that what could go wrong when we pick something called Lemon Pie… only to put a little of it up and run screaming from the room??? Yep, that’s the dilemma of selecting paint, we know because let’s face it, we’ve been there too… now and then even I pick a stinker. (more…)

One day I was looking for an accessory for this table.. hmmmm, a bowl here, some horns there, put it all together and Wow! Looks great! (at least I think so…) As much as I LOVE to complicate my life… I’ve started to learn that simple ideas really are best. Design can appear complicated in as much as there are times it LOOKS (more…)
